Do not apply Security Classification using the "Classify and protect" app for any fillable PDF Forms. This causes fillable PDF forms to lose the ability to be filled, saved and signed. OCCIO&T and Microsoft are working on a resolution.

Protecting Personal Information entered into PDF Fillable Forms
This site uses JavaScript code to ensure that personal information entered into fillable Adobe Acrobat (PDF) forms is not displayed to subsequent users of the computer on which the form was completed. This requires that any computer on which these forms are to be completed must have JavaScript turned on. Non-fillable forms are available for printing if JavaScript cannot be turned on.
Unless you expect to need more than one browser session to complete the form, we recommend that you set Acrobat Reader NOT to keep forms data temporarily available on disk. To change this setting, click Edit, then Preferences, then Forms in Acrobat or Acrobat Reader and uncheck the item labeled "Keep forms data temporarily available on disk".
The personal information you submit is secure once it reaches the government server. In transit between your computer and the server, however, it may not be secure. If you would prefer to raise a comment or question in person, please call Alberta government call centre at 310-4455 toll free in the province of Alberta.
